about

Down Goes the Elephant was written and recorded in Atlanta by Dot.s pretty much all throughout 2017. It has a bunch of different parts, and features a bunch of our friends, and pretty much does all that great stuff a pretentiously long and operatic piece of music is supposed to do. Needless to say, most of the world's probably not going to hear it all the way through. We're fine with this. We've come to terms with it. We feel weird asking someone to sit through it all. We feel even weirder asking someone to invest money and help us put out a one-song-long-not-really-gonna-make-much-money EP, so we decided to finance and release it ourselves. That being said, DGTE is something we totally made for us, but it is also one of our favorite things we've ever made, so we hope you like it.

Thanks to Sumner Jones, for engineering and mastering; Jake Thomson, for mixing drums; Catherine Quesenberry and Grace Bellury, for vocals; Andrew Cleveland, for Cello; the Atlanta Philharmonic, for letting us record them tuning for the little intro bit; Paul Katzman, for helping us record the little intro bit; and, as always, you. You're great.
